About YABANE ART
Located in the Seattle area, YABANE ART is the Art Studio run by lifelong artist Bill Fletcher; assisted by his wife Taylor.
YABANE ART produces one of a kind sculptures, 3D art and animation; with a focus on endangered animal subjects.
Why YABANE?
This pattern represents the fletching of an arrow, which gives a nod to Bill’s last name Fletcher. The pattern also has auspicious connotations, symbolizing determination and moving forward. Sculpting, 3D art and animation require much determination and follow through so again the Yabane pattern is perfectly fitting. Being a Japanese pattern it also represents Bill’s lifelong love and appreciation for Japan, where he lives in winter and visits whenever else possible.
The red x black YABANE ART logo and branding was designed by Taylor as a gift to Bill.
YABANE ART gets it’s namesake from the traditional Japanese Yabane (pronounced /yɑː.bɑː.neɪ/ or ya-bah-nay) pattern. The reason for this is many-fold.
